These ideas came to reality in 2017, with the launch of the Brake Free smart wireless helmet brake light. The Brake Free is an extremely bright LED brake light for your helmet, that is completely wireless, free of any apps or auxiliary switches installed on to your motorcycle.

The device works on electronic gyroscopes that are found within the unit and once it detects the motorcycle is decelerating it will automatically illuminate the ultra-bright LED lights to indicate other road users that you are braking / slowing down.
